Borcraft’s range of quality products for the Dolls House Collector is extensive and we produce everything ourselves including numerous 12th scale architectural and decorative mouldings to provide you with an outstanding finish to your Dolls House. We make all our own cutters so we can even produce a moulding to your own design. If you are unhappy with the quality of the windows and doors in your new Dolls House (many are plastic) then our door and window kits made from Jelutong might fit the bill – we have been complemented on the quality and precision finish many times. If you don’t see the size you want in our catalogue, just email us with the measurements of the cut out and quantity required and we will email you a price.
We are continually receiving requests from Architectural Model Makers for our 24th scale architectural and decorative mouldings, strip wood, windows, doors, fireplaces, staircase mouldings and turnings, so if you are an Architectural Model Maker then you have come to the right web site! Even Model Boat Builders have been known to purchase some of our smaller mouldings and stripwood because of their quality and suitability.
Whilst we don’t make Dolls Houses ourselves, we do make Room Settings both complete and in kit form in both 12th and 24th scales. In 24th scale we have two grades of Room Setting Kit, one range for the beginner and the other for Intermediate/Advanced miniaturists. Miniature collectors of Artisan quality miniature items, who don’t want to put them in a Dolls House, should consider the Borcraft Shop Window Kit which is available in a single, double or triple window – they’re also ideal for displaying crystal or glass animals, thimbles and militaria too.
Our furniture kits in both 12th and 24th scale are suitable for the very beginner to the intermediate or advanced miniaturist so we have something for everyone.
For the artists amongst you, our Picture Frame Mouldings, some with rebates, could be just what you are looking for, if not, drop us an email with a sketch of your design, including measurements, and we will see if we can recreate it for you and we’ll send you a quote. If you struggle with mitres then our adjustable mitre board will solve the problem – your picture frames come out right every time! For the advanced miniaturist who is interested in wall panelling then the Free Downloads should provide you with the challenge you are looking for. We have produced a range of mouldings for both our Adapta Panelling and Jacobean Panelling, but this is not for the faint hearted when it comes to the mitred joint – there are dozens of them so the Free Download sheet on “How to Mitre” may come in handy here along with our adjustable mitre board!
If you don’t see what you are looking for on our web site whether it’s 24th scale furniture or a Rennie Mackintosh bed or chair in 12th scale, then just drop us an email – if you have a photo or drawing with any measurements then all the better. Remember, if it’s made of wood Alan can probably make it but remember that Alan makes everything we do, so you will need to be patient if your request is slightly out of the ordinary!
